SHOULD I GET PRE-APPROVED BEFORE LOOKING AT HOUSES?

Yes. Getting pre-approved before starting the home search will allow for a more fluid, streamlined home buying experience. We can avoid potential upsetting situations by speaking with a bank first to see how much you are able to afford

HOW WILL YOU FIND POTENTIAL BUYERS/RENTERS FOR MY PROPERTY?

This is where your Real Estate Agent specializes. We list your home on the MLS and market your home for sale. Through various channels, potential buyers will reach out to us and we will reach out to them.

DO I NEED TO SELL MY CURRENT HOME BEFORE BUYING ANOTHER?

The short answer is no But there are pros and cons in doing so. If you sell your home first, you will be in a better position for negotiating the purchase of a new home as the contingency of the home is not a factor. However, if you do sell your home first, you may risk the chance of not having a place to live until you buy. It comes down to priorities and patience.

SHOULD I BUY OR SHOULD I RENT?

Buying a home is a long-term commitment. If you only plan on staying at in the home for a few years it is probably best to just rent. Owning a home also comes with additional responsibilities you won't have when renting. You want to make sure you are aware of all the home maintenance and costs of owning a home.

WHAT PERCENTAGE OF THE FINAL HOME SALE PRICE DO YOU CHARGE?

There is no exact amount or value as this is all negotiable and varies from sale to sale.

DO I NEED A REAL ESTATE LAWYER AS WELL?

Depending on the state, you may or may not be required to hire a real estate lawyer. In general, a real estate lawyer is only necessary when you want to dispute incorrect contracts, documents and transactions. They may also handle the closing on a purchase. In CA, it is not required and your Realtor will be all you need.

WHO PAYS THE REALTOR FEES?

In most cases, the seller pays the Realtor fees

HOW MANY HOMES SHOULD I LOOK AT BEFORE PUTTING IN A PURCHASE OFFER?

Truthfully, there is no specific number. You can look at one house and it ends up being the perfect one for you. You can look at 20 homes and still not feel like its the right one. Your home is a huge investment and you should not feel pressured to make an offer on a home you can't see yourself living in.
